Tyres Now Somerton branch is offering an ambitious and hungry individual a rare and exciting opportunity to join their team of professional technicians as an automotive tyre fitter and aligner.

In this role, you will safely fit and repair tyres and wheels while working in a well-equipped modern workshop. You will work with motor mechanics, wheel aligners, tyre technicians and sales staff to deliver the best service to our most valued customers, ensuring everyone leaves our store with peace of mind driving.

We are looking for a level-headed person who will be committed to the role, be willing to learn and take advantage of the many opportunities that may be offered in the future.

Your main day-to-day tasks would include:

• Fitting, balancing, repairing, and servicing tyres
• Identifying faults with wheels and tyres
• Provide advice and report potentially dangerous risks of customer vehicles
• Safely operating hoists and conducting road tests as required
• Pick-up and delivery of wheels and parts as needed

What you need:

• Prior experience working as a Tyre & Wheel Alignment Technician is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right person
• You are an excellent problem-solver and pay attention to detail
• You can work cooperatively in a team environment but also confidently when unsupervised
• Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers and team members
• Have a happy and positive attitude
• Good reading, writing and communication skills
• Excellent punctuality and must be reliable
• Valid driver’s license
• You may be required to undertake a pre-employment drug test
